How it works

Local-first isn't a feature flag — it's the architecture

Most finance sites store your portfolio on their servers and show it back to you. localfolio inverts that. Your holdings are recorded in your browser's own storage as a permanent, append-only history of every trade you enter. Prices and charts are anonymous public data, cached on your device after the first look.

Interactive charts: Intraday through five years, 1D to 5Y. After the first view, charts render from your device.
Portfolios & lots: Record buys and sells lot by lot. Market value, day change, unrealized and realized P&L.
True cost basis: Per-lot cost with fees, partial sells and amendments — a real transaction ledger, not a snapshot.
Splits & dividends: Splits apply to your holdings automatically; dividend income is computed from what you held on each ex-date.
Watchlists: Follow symbols you don't own yet, with the same live quotes and charts.
Symbol search: Find any covered stock or ETF by ticker or company name.
